How to Use the Work Hours Calculator

  1. Add Time Periods: Click the "+ Add Period" button for each shift or workday you want to log. A new row will appear.
  2. Enter Start and End Times: For each period, use the time selectors to input your start and end times. The calculator automatically handles overnight shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM).
  3. Log Breaks: In each row, enter your total unpaid break time in minutes (e.g., "30" for a 30-minute lunch break).
  4. Enter Hourly Rate (Optional): If you want to calculate your total pay, enter your hourly wage in the "Payroll" section.
  5. Calculate: Click the "Calculate Hours" button. Your results will instantly appear, showing total hours in both H:M format and decimal format, along with your gross pay if a rate was provided.
